Dear Parents / Carers,
The current Met Office weather forecast for Taunton, today Thursday 1st March 2018 is AMBER. Light snow will fall from mid morning with a heavy snow to fall through Somerset from midday through the rest of the day and into Thursday night and Friday.
The safety of all the children and staff is our highest priority. Based on this forecast, we have made the decision to close the school. This will ensure that no children or staff will be left stranded at school.
As the forecast is for exceptionally cold weather and very heavy snow we will be reviewing the situation with regards tomorrow Friday 2nd March this evening. In the event of heavy snow, it is possible that school may remain closed on Friday 2nd March, if a significant number of staff cannot travel to school. If we do not have adequate staffing to care for the children, we will not be able to open.
