Welcome
Welcome to
Holway Park Community Primary School.
"Mrs Brewer, Mrs Martin, Mrs Kidner and anyone who has been involved in helping my children over the past 15 years. As our journey with the school comes to an end after 15 years, I want to express my deepest thanks to each and every one of you who has supported and nurtured my children along the way.
Your kindness, patience, and dedication have made a world of difference—especially for xxxxx with his autism. You’ve not only helped them grow academically but have shown true understanding, compassion, and belief in their potential. That support has meant more than words can say.
From classroom teachers to support staff, SENCOs, and beyond—thank you for being part of our children’s lives. You’ve helped shape their futures, and for that, I will always be grateful."

Attendance
Why is attendance important?
For most pupils, the best place to be during term-time is in school, surrounded by the support of their friends and teachers.
This is important not just for your child’s learning, but also for their overall wellbeing, wider development and their mental health. It’s not just children who fail to attend school who miss out, but those around them too.
The government is working with schools and local councils to improve attendance by supporting them to reset the relationship between schools, families and the government to ensure children have the best start to life.
When your child can miss school
You can only allow your child to miss school if either:
- they’re too ill to go in
- you have advance permission from the school
There may be other exceptional circumstances where you can ask to take your child out of school. Your school will consider each application and may let you take your child out of school.
Holidays in Term Time
A holiday is generally not considered an exceptional circumstance. You cannot usually take your child away during term time. You can be fined or face legal action for taking your child on holiday during term time.
