READING AT HOME

All children have been given a specific day of the week to bring their book bag into school. (if you are unsure about what day your child's book bag day is, then please email their teacher).

Although children only need to bring their book bag to school once a week; we are still encouraging children to aim towards reading 5 times a week and keep a record of the days read. The reading journal is a space for the children to also write and draw pictures about what they have understood from their book.

For children who are reading particularly short books, you may find your child has more than one book in their book bag for that week. As well as reading their book from school, we would love for our children to be actively enjoying their own books from home too - including comics and e-books!
